• Path to Building Redevelopment Decision.The Board has planned the following events in order to reach a decision on November 21, 2010. All are requested to participate:August 22 - September 5: Questionaire - please provide your honest feedback and return questionnaires to the feedback box in church office.September 12: There will be separate dialogue meetings after short English, Mandarin and Cantonese worship services.November 21: Special Membership Meeting to make redevelopment decision after a joint worship service

• Learn & Get Involved More - Come out to the “Ministry Day” event on September 19 (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) to meet with each other and learn more about the English ministries. Ministry booths will be set up and manned by knowledgeable people to answer your questions. Lunch will be served at $2/person. All are welcome

• The Cambodia STM team would like to thank everyone for their support in prayer, finances and in so many other ways. Please come and join us at CCAC gym on Sunday Sept 12 from 7-9PM as we share about our trip and how God is working in Cambodia

• Combined congregationThanksgiving Choir. If you are interested in being part of a choir that will sing a number of pieces of music at our Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, October 10, please speak to Virginia Li (email: vccli@hotmail.com) or Esther Li or sign up in the office.

• An Appreciation Luncheon today for Pastor Amen Leung, our part-time Cantonese pastor for senior’s ministry. Those who have bought tickets are to proceed to the gym at12:30 PM.

• Daily Bread Booklet (Sept-Nov) is available for pickup at the church office.

• Cantonese Alpha Course will now start every Saturday from September 25-December 11, 9:30 AM to 12 noon in the Banquet Room. Please invite your friends and relatives to attend. Helpers are needed in various areas. For further details, please contact Lawrence Yu.

• 教會擴建的路向：長議會計劃用以下的安排，去達到在2010年11月21日的重建決策，邀請弟兄姊妹積極參與：8月22日- 9月5日：問卷調查 - 請提出您們誠實的回應及將問卷交回教會辦公室的回應箱內。9月12日：將在三堂(英、粵、國語)簡短崇拜後，舉行對談會。11月21日：於三堂聯合崇拜後舉行特別會友大會。

• 長議會已接受梁明峰傳道因個人理由終止在年長事工(部份時間)合約，合約期至8月31日止。教會為欣賞梁傳道在過去四年忠心的 服事，特於8月29日下午12:30與梁傳道午膳。歡迎弟兄姊妹參與，餐票請在大堂外購買，每位5元/家庭(四位)15元，教會亦為梁傳道　收集愛心奉獻至八月底，請在奉獻信封註明 “愛心奉獻–梁傳道”。

• 秋季主日學於9月5日開始，詳情請參閱附頁；歡迎各肢體參與，讓神的話成為我們“腳前的燈、路上的光。”

• 粵語啟發課程定於9月25日至12月11日，逢星期六上午9:30—12:00弟兄姊妹如有意參與事奉者，請聯絡余煉樑弟兄。

• iSync 福音營將會在本星期五至下星期一舉行。報名共有57人，有22人未信主或沒有恆常參加教會聚會。這一年我們共籌到$5,487.49，現尚欠$3,000 (每位學生需要補貼$150)。感謝神的祝福和帶領，請弟兄姊妹為我們在福音營的傳福音事工和帶人信主祈禱。

• 兒童部在新一年度(九月起)需要大量老師及義工，請弟兄姊妹積極考慮的參予兒童事工。於去年參予事奉的老師或義工，請儘快將登記証交回兒童註冊處。

• 陳小菱傳道於8月24日至9月5日休假。

• 国语堂9月12日关顾午餐及2pm之关顾会议。

• Our Christian & Missionary Alliance Vision Prayer says, “O God, with all our hearts we long to be: a movement of churches transformed by Christ, transforming Canada and the world.” Pray that we will be such a church.

• Thank God for those who made pledges of commitment to the CCAC Redevelopment Project Pledge Campaign. Pray for those members of the Redevelopment committee who are working closely with LeBlond Architects.

• Continue to pray that through the Redevelopment project the church will seize the opportunity to focus on the future and prepare a new environment for the next generation, will re-visit our commitment to God and that the project will be a means by which to exercise unity as a church. Pray that it will also serve as a means to reach out to the church’s neighbours and be a channel of God’s blessing to the community.

• Praise God for the summer camps that were run here at the church during the last two weeks of July. Many children had a great time interacting with each other and the leaders, and many heard the gospel and responded positively. Continue to pray for the Pre-school music camp that will run in August. Pray for the volunteers as they assist in the camps, and for Pastor Grace as she coordinates.

• Thank God for the ESL Camp that is presently running here at the church, August 3-13, targeting children in grades one to six, together with adults and older siblings. There are about eighteen attending the first week. Thank God for, and pray for the leaders: Dianne Wong, Nolan Wong, Richelle Ho, Danielle Wong, Nathan Yu, Jenice Ma, Odelle Ma, Reanne Ho, Jennifer Yeung, Praise Yu, Sherry Huang, Nathan Yu, Caleb Yu, Brian Li, Esther Yu, and Maria Yu. There is a need for three or four staff and reading buddies for the second week. Pray that God will meet this need.

• Please remember Wes Chow as he continues to undergo treatment for a tumour that was removed from a gland in his neck. He has six weeks of radiation treatment ahead of him. Please pray for Nelly and the boys, Jonah and Ethan, as they continue to trust God during these challenging times.

• Pray for James Law who has recently begun his internship with Ambrose University College at First Alliance Church in Toronto. His internship will focus primarily in worship ministries and student ministries.

• Pray for the leaders in the Cantonese congregation who are planning to run another “Cantonese Alpha Course,” beginning September 18 and running until December. Pray for the leaders and for a good response from attendees.

• Pray for the Pastoral Search Committee as they seek the following vacant pastoral positions: Senior Pastor, Mandarin Congregational Pastor, Mandarin Ministry Pastor, and English Youth Pastor. (Pastor Jason will be moving into the English Ministry Pastor portfolio once a youth pastor has been hired)

• Pray for Pastor Alan as he and his youth fellowships plan a Gospel Camp, (Camp Isync 2010) from September 3-6 at River’s Edge Camp. Pray also they will raise enough funds for this camp.

• Praise God for the work that the Cambodia STM team is doing from July 23 to August 8. They have been seeing and experiencing many different things, and are in the midst of finishing up their English camp. A few of them have gotten sick during the trip. Please pray that they will be physically and spiritually strong as they finish their ministry time there and return home.

• Thank God for the effective ministry and for bringing home safely three of the four short-term mission teams that have gone forth this spring and summer: Ben Hsu and Elizabeth Lau who served with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) in Guatemala; Paul and Marjorie Cheng, and Agnes Leung who served with Evangelical Medical Aid Society (EMAS), China West Medical Mission in China; and the Cantonese Youth Worship Team (Leo, Sandy, Helena, Gladys and Nick) who served in French Cayenne.

• Please pray for the needs of the Children and Youth ministries as they prepare for another school year. Both are in need of faithful helpers, teachers, and counsellors. If you have a burden to serve, or are interested in finding out more about the ministries, please contact Pastor Grace or Pastor Jason for more information.

• Thank God that Hans and Ruth Fung were able to be with us recently. They serve with the Canadian Christian & Missionary Alliance in Germany. Pray for Hans as he continues to work on his Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership. They also ask prayer for Hans as he works as the Director of School Initiatives, “to know where and how to plant schools with a missional purpose.”

• Pray for the Sunday afternoon training workshop, “Be a Caring Church,” that the Caring & Evangelism Committee is planning on August 15, 11:00 – 2:30 PM.

• Pray for the Jericho Day-hike and Barbeque on Saturday, August 14, that it will be a wonderful time deepening friendships.
